Sweetest Moment...

I came home from a great day at work tonight, picked my Elizzabug and brought her home, changed her diaper, got her in her little jammies and put her in her crib. Then I bent down to give her eskimo kisses, and she loves those. She smiles really big every time.. just the cutest little thing. But tonight, she did more. Right after the first time I did eskimo kisses.. she made the sweetest little "ahhh" sound. I'm not certain.. but I think she was trying to say "I love you". At least, that's what I like to think. So I did it again, and again.. she kept making that sweet noise and smiling so huge. I just love when things like that happen. That was, indeed, the sweetest moment I've ever had with my darling little angel.

Ready to move...

So, found an apartment! And it's a good deal too! And really safe, that's awesome. I'm moving in at the beginning of November, and that's awesome! I'm really excited. It's great to be able to get back out on my own again! Even though I love my parents and I love their house, I'm ready to be on my own two feet again for sure.

Lizzie is doing great! Tonight she's with her daddy, which is awesome.. because -sleep-!! Yeah! I'm excited about that.. And I have new pictures! Yay for 3 months old!!

Been a While..

Yeah, so life got a little crazy.. but it does that. Anyway, had a long day at work today, 9 hours. Gah... 9 hours of cashiering.. 9 hours of standing on my feet on a marble floor. Ugh. But, I got a wonderful bath and now I hurt just a little less.. heheh. Still trying to figure out if I can get this second job I've been hoping for. Guess we'll see, huh?

Lizzie is with her daddy tonight! In fact, she's been with him since yesterday afternoon and will stay with him until tomorrow night! Which means........ 2 full nights of sleep for mommy!!! *is super excited* I tell you what.. nothing like a good night's sleep. Anyway, I'm really glad for that because I really really need it.

Today, I did something crazy. I actually bought Christmas ornaments. Yes, I know, it's not even Halloween yet! But, they're way cute and they'll be gone before the real Christmas rush starts! I had to get them... And the real kick.. they're black. *laughs* Who buys black Christmas ornaments? I guess I do. But I'm really excited about them because they're way cute!

Anyway, just a brief update because I'm exhausted and I don't want to think.

Gah.. I hate bad dreams....

So I woke up this morning after a terrible dream.... My ex husband had come to get my daughter for the weekend (something I -always- look forward to) and he had taken a taxi to do so. So, I'd had her all ready to go, and I suppose I must have done or said something he didn't like, because he refused to take her and said he would not take her again until he and I were married again. I was in tears and screaming after him as he ran, laughing, back to the taxi. I even called him a bad name, something I've never said before, but I was furious. Thankfully.. it was just a dream.

I love mornings! Even though I'm really more of a night person than a morning person, I love mornings because I get to see the totally smiling face of my beautiful little girl. She's so happy right after she wakes up in the morning. She's just full of smiles and laughs and giggles and all kinds of warm fuzzies. I love that, just makes my whole day.

I'm waiting for her next obsession to come about. When she was between 3 weeks and 2 months, her favorite thing in the whole world was the living room ceiling fan. She just -loved- to watch it turn. Even when it wasn't turning, she still loved it. Then she progressed to studying the underside of our furniture. Like the piano.. or the computer desk... I really have no idea why she was so fascinated by that, but she was. Now I'm waiting for the next one. Who knows what it will be? She's an interesting kid, this one. She does enjoy laying on the kitchen table with the lights on. Perhaps that's from being under the bililight when she was born. I know that's what happened to me when I was born. Mmm... I love me some Lizzabee!

"Remember Me"

Just wanted to toss this amazing video up here. It's not about me or Lizzie, it's about the soldiers, but I totally support them and I want to share this with people.

Remember Me

Strange behavior...

Alright.. so I went to pick up Lizzie from her dad's apartment, brought her home, and shortly after, we had some visitors. Two people from the ward came to see my parents, and when the woman held Lizzie, the strangest thing happened.

Sister Hales held Lizzie with one hand on her head and neck and one on her behind, and Lizzie looked up at her for a second before suddenly screaming. It wasn't a normal scream, I'm used to those. It was a quick and loud one, as though she was say "HEY!" very quickly. And then she stopped.... I'm not really sure what that was all about but it was quite amusing. She's never done that before. I mean, she cries sometimes and screams sometimes, but nothing like that.

She is definitely the center of attention whenever we have visitors though, and she loves every minute of it. This child was born in the spotlight.

Just starting out...

Hello friends! This is my first attempt at this game.. I've never done it before, not really. I had a website once... but it sorta failed. Anyhow, now that I have a reason to talk to the world about something important, said reason being my little Elizabeth of course, I thought I'd jump on the bandwagon. So, new to blogging, new to motherhood, new to being single again. I'm just starting out with all kinds of things. Any advice?

Elizabeth Anne Tidwell was born on July 22, 2009 at McKay-Dee Hospital in Ogden, UT. She was 6 pounds 10 ounces and 19 inches long, and just as sweet as could be. She was nearly right on time, just a couple days early. Since her birth, she's just been the light of my life, and totally mellow. Calm and chill, just like me. She's the perfect baby for a single parent. I call her Lizzabee because of Bumblebee from Transformers.. he's my favorite. Well, aside from Frenzy, who is my actual favorite. Anyway, she's going to be a bumblebee for Halloween this year. All 3 months of her... *grins*

Since I am recently divorced, I have been out hunting for jobs, and I finally managed to get hired by the oh so huge corporation of Walmart as an evening cashier. It's not full time, but I'm hoping to get hired at Claire's as well, my interview went really well. We'll see! *crosses her fingers* Much to my relief, I do not need to put Lizzie in daycare as her father will have her when I work and I will have her when he does. I'm hoping to maintain this as long as possible. My plan is to keep her out of daycare altogether.

Well, any advice from other single moms? Or from not-single moms too, for that matter? This world is brand new to me and I have a lot of learning to do, but I'm thrilled to do it!
